Yes We Can...

Remember it's almost Super Tuesday, so get out and vote if you haven't already! I'll give you a little glimpse of how I'll be voting...

I Feel Greeeeeat!

Well that's an over statement, it's not that I feel lousy or anything remotely like that... I am just busy with school starting to pick up and can't quite get my head in gear! I saw this video on YouTube awhile back and in the midst of this blah month of January it helped me Feeeel Greeeat!

Abosolutely Dreadful!

Now, I hope the rest of the wives out there will pay close attention to this and take note...the Dreaded Man Cold is out there, ready to strike at any moment...We NEED to be prepared!

Trouble In The Jungle...

If you like little Australian girls who rap about saving wild animals from evil mankind, than this is for YOU! This is Bindi, the Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin's daughter...along with "Crocmen"...aka The Wiggles

Will It Blend?

Yesterday for a thing at school I went to this Viral Marketing presentation from a Utah-based company called Blendtech. I won't bore you with all the logistics but it was awesome. The company started out small and had no money for advertising so they used YouTube and other things like it to get their message out. They did these segments called "Will it Blend?" Which basically they took all sorts of random things and blended them... the speaker was going to blend a rake at the end of the presentation, but I had to leave early to go to class, boo. So later I went to YouTube and found this video of them blending an iPhone, the guy at the presentation told us they sold the blended iPhone on e-Bay for $1,000... crazy huh?

P.S. Sadly the guy in the video above was not the featured speaker!

5 Fav Concerts...

I mentioned in another post of the much anticpated favorite concert list, I have been thinking of it for awhile and even went through my box of old stubs... I do this list with a bit of reluctancy because I feel there is a concert out there I really enjoyed and have forgotten it, so left-out concert I apologize. Here it goes...

5- Britney Spears with O-Town... Ok, I admit that this was even a favorite but let me explain. I was a junior or sophomore in high school and O-Town had just finished their stint on MTV... So I was mostly excited to see them, but I remember being really impressed with Britney as well (obviously this was way before she went crazy!). Also, I went with two of my sisters, Traci and Tami, and we were loud and danced like crazy!!! Here was my favorite song from the concert...Lucky...

4- Gwen Stefani -- Again this is a concert I went to but with all of my sisters...Tifani, Tami, Traci and Jill (sister-in-law, but sister still the same). We danced and laughed and made fun of people around us... My favorite song from the concert...Early Winter...

3- Guster. I went with my good friend Kami to this concert and it was a blast!! I really enjoyed the drummer, anyone who has seen guster can back me up. The best part was at the end of the concert how the drummer came back on the stage and sang Total Eclipse of the Heart. I am telling you people these are the things you never forget...here's a clip...

2- New Pornographers. I know that this was a recent concer but I feel no other concert has made me listen to a CD quite like this one had... I think last week my counter said 93 time I had listened to the New Pornographers...wahoo! The concert was awesome not ever have I seen so many people on one stage singing so well together, plus, who doesn't love Neko Case?? My favorite song from the concert and album...Go Places...can't find on YouTube so close second...Challengers...

1- The Killers!! I went to this concert with Don & Co. when we were dating... The Killers hadn't become big yet and so there were only about 30 or so people there...including his grandparents and we met them...boo yeah!! It was crazy I bet a lot of the crowd was his family...but it was awesome and it sparked the love of my favorite Killers song... Indie Rock n Roll...

**Close Call Concerts...The Editors, AFI, Weezer, The Pixies, and Interpol (1st Time).
***I believe atmosphere really helps in making a concert... some of these may seem dumb but it's all in context people.
****Concert hopes to see in the future...Neil Diamond, Celine Dion, and Wayne Newton...only serious on one of those...

Fantastic FHE

On Monday for FHE we attend the Interpol concert, it was frandom(fun+random). They wouldn't let you take cell phones in, we didn't find out the hard way, Lisel did, she informed us before we got there. We missed the first opening band The Shout Out Louds, BOO! We got there in time for The Liars, which was a band just making sound effects into the mic...yuck...and the lead singer (who we decided is a cross between Beeker from the Muppets, Jeff Barry aka Game FAQ Aggie, some other guy I didn't know, and Satan), keep inhaling the microphone...double yuck...literally putting it in his mouth several times. Weird. When Interpol came on they were great, they played all of the songs I wanted to hear but forgot to play Next Exit.

**Coming up, My Top 5 Favorite Concerts in tribute of
Soffe's post of his 5 fav's...
**Also like to thanks my Concert Buddy Mel for attending and
for Lisel for making friends wherever she goes!!

The Tale of The New Pornographers.

No it's not anything dirty. Not by any means. It's actually a band, a good one at that! With our little mishap earlier this week, there was a point when we weren't going to go. We negociated it with Soffe over french toast and decided we should go. Everyone needs a Soffe by the way, he planned out a list of good concerts coming up, which includes a FHE concert featuring Interpol in October. THANKS SOFFE! Ok, back to the concert, there were some weird people there, by weird I mean drunk, that I could have definetly done without. You can pick your nose, but not your concert friends, right?

This is the song they closed with, you know before the encore. You may also recognize this song from a Saturn commerical. It was really good live!! In fact, I was really impressed with how well the sang together, it really flowed. The other bands that played were also really good, usually this phenomenon doesn't occur. The other bands were Lavendar Diamond, they were really random between songs but it made it more interesting and The Akward Stage, which reminded me the movie Sixteen Candles.

USU Homecoming Extravaganza

Saturday was Homecoming at USU, and it started off with a laugh at the parade, courtesy of the A-Team.

Ashley is somewhere in there, I don't really know if I ever found her. She was well disguised! I should also mention they got first prize for this in the parade, well deserved!! They were by far the best float!

Here's a picture from the football game. However, this is decieving because it rained MOST of the time.

Here's a picture of us near the end of the game, sick huh? How come Don always looks so photogenic?

Obsessed!

Anyone who has been around me lately knows that I am very obsessed with a certain song. It all started when my sister-in-law Ashley made me the Boo Yeah Mix '07 with this song and now it's my ringtone.

The song is orignally by Rihanna, but I found this version on Soffe's blog and I think it's one of the best versions out there! Thanks Soffe!!
