Where is Don?? (DC Version)

A strange thing happened when we were in DC.

Don started showing up in all of my pictures waving...and it became a game of sorts.

Also with our BIL, Rico, joining in on the 'serious' fun...

I would like to call this post/segement "Where is Don?"

"On the mall"...

How-To Make Your Own Fabric Labels

I love to create handmade items for friends and family for Christmas. In fact I can't wait for the day when I can help my kids create awesome handmade gifts for each other, like Design Mom and her kids do. So what would be more perfect this Holiday season than to have some custom fabric labels for you or your kids to label their handmade gifts?

This process may sound complex but it's really simple, you don't even need photoshop.

I started out by getting some June Tailor fabric sheets from a local craft store (Hobby Lobby) or on Amazon (I prefer the green package because the material doesn't fray).

Next I designed my labels in my text editor (Photoshop works wonders too!) and separated the labels by columns. I left a blank line so that you can hand write in a name or write a note and the year the gift was given.

You will notice that the fabric sheets have a stiff backings, this allows the fabric to act like paper and print the labels. So you just load the paper and print.

Finally, to waterproof the labels first iron them to set the ink, and then spraying them with a clear crafting gloss.

And you are good to label your handmade gifts!

Back Track: Thanksgiving & Birthday

Sadly, this is the ONLY picture I have from Thanksgiving.

{I made those turkey's with the help of my sister Tippee's kids}

We had a great time with both of our families and then an interesting day of Black Friday shopping.

I was pretty much done with Bergs for Christmas, I am hand-making some of the stuff and I'm really excited about how it's turning out!

I have so much to be Thankful for, not only this time of year! We all have struggles but we are all very blessed at the same time and I wouldn't change a thing.

As well as a big dinner Thanksgiving weekend usually covers my Birthday as well.

I rounded up some of my favorite people (mom, sisters and SIL's {Jill not pictured!}) and we headed down to see the Rockettes.

Here are the cute Williams women! Brooklyn and Brinlee were so excited to be apart of the big girls.

My mom and Tippee enjoying the show!

All of us on the row below having a fabulous time!

And of course I auditioned and made the cut and hope to be on tour next year...ha ha!

Lastly, it can't be a Birthday without some cake!

Bergs loved it so much she cried when we wouldn't let her have more.

Man it's great to be 26!!

Folks, We Have A Winner!

First of all sorry to be vague. We skipped out of town this week (but I didn't want to share that we were gone until we were back home, which we are so do not try to break into my house this week for you will sorely be surprised!)

Also, we didn't take Bergen with us on this trip... HOW COME NO ONE TELLS YOU THAT IT'S REALLY HARD TO LEAVE YOUR KIDS BEHIND while you decide to travel to Washington DC or anywhere I'm sure?

The night before, in a moment of panic, I tried to pack her in my suitcase...

She couldn't have been happier but I didn't risk it and left her with her Aunts.

Needless to say she DIDN'T care much that we were gone, infact I think it was all a BIG PARTY FOR HER!

Ok, now that I have that off my chest I can announce the winner of my BIRTHDAY GIVEAWAY!

The first WINNER of th $25.00 giftcard to my etsy shop is HAYLEY(#15) who said...

I met Hayley at the Logan Gift Show and she is such a cute and strong person! She has two adorable girls and I almost copied her and used the name Sienna on Bergs. Congrats Hayley!!

Next, I decided to giveaway a headband/bangle too! (Who says number 1 never wins)

The WINNER of a headband/bangle of their choice is MISSY(#1) who said...

I've known Missy for many years and she is athletic as well as talented in many ways... In fact in Sept she ran a 1/2 marathon at Disneyland and took pictures with some Disney Princesses while doing it! Congrats Missy!

Thanks everyone for participating, you made my Birthday that much more exciting!
